Training
Training, an integral part of our aftermarket support, is available at Stewart & Stevenson Training Centers, at your facility, or in the field. Our certified trainers are ready to go anywhere, any time to support our clients. Certified trainers at our Houston, Denver and Colombian training centers provide training on oilfield equipment systems as well as components of each. They are available to travel worldwide to provide onsite training at our clients' locations.
Instruction for Allison, EMD, Detroit Diesel, Deutz, Hyster, MBE, and MTU product lines are offered. Course topics range from product familiarization to operation, maintenance, and major repair. Training is factory-authorized and taught by certified instructors. Most classes are one-week in duration and include both classroom lecture and “hands-on” lab exercises using latest diagnostic equipment and training materials.
Stewart & Stevenson’s hands-on training includes equipment operation, equipment maintenance and equipment repair. Our instructors have an average of over 15 years of technical training experience. They encourage questions, discussion and interaction with the students. Each student is provided a clear and simple understanding of the subject presented. Classes are tailored to meet each client’s exact requirements, with translator for all languages.
The Stewart & Stevenson Training Centers are also available to host training sessions offered by our business partners. Customer and dealer training can be provided at one of our training centers or at a customer's site. Project specific training packages can be developed to meet each customer's equipment needs. Our training packages can be delivered in a variety of media including classroom, video or computer based training.
A properly trained staff is essential to safe and efficient equipment operation and maintenance. Our goal is to insure that each client’s staff has the knowledge they need to safely operate each system, as well as to maintain it so that operation is continuous.
